Wow! I have done 3 TopRide (Cycle) classes in the past week. Actually the last Saturday class happened to be a TopRide EXTRA. Yes....you read right. How can they put more on the top of an already intensive class. I mean...she gave the option to leave but I figure if I am going to turn up I had better make it worth it. This is where I really started doing the Mental Challenge thing. I closed my eyes and just had a little chat to myself and told myself how great I felt and that it was easy and so on....as I felt like I was going to fall off the bike.
The amazing thing is that my legs started going faster, even when I felt I was spent. I must say I did get to the end of the class and feel like I was going to be sick. I soon discovered that when you are knackered and dying of thirst, this is not the time to gulp down water.
I tried this Mental Challenge method again tonight and it worked again! Time to begin seeing how I can apply this to the rest of my life. When you are busy I think it really is very important to be physically fit as it increases your mental fitness. Pushing your boundaries is positive.
PT tomorrow with Pam - I think this week she will be proud! I know I am.
